So You Want to Be in the Guinness Book of World Records

The Birch Bay Polar Bear Plunge is a popular New Year’s Day tradition in Birch Bay. In January organizers attempted to break the Guinness World record for the largest Polar Bear Dip ever. It was a monster event and organizers learned a lot…from the true power of a well-known worldwide brand and to best mitigate issues when "people are gonna be people."

Sacha Sanguinetti, Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce

This program is supported, in part, by a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission.
