Grants are available for festivals and events – learn which ones you might want to apply for. We will cover funding opportunities from the Washington State Arts Commission, State of Washington Tourism and other funding sources for events of all sizes.

Also discussed -- sponsorship is often the leading source of revenues for events, whether they be for fundraising events or festivals. Tips for Selling Alcohol Legally and Safely at Fundraising & Other Events

Here’s what festival and event organizers should know about this very important subject. The WSLCB Licensing and Enforcement divisions will educate you on how to have safe and legal events with alcohol. They will cover all types of licensing permits, ways to obtain and sell alcohol, and relationships with alcohol industry members at events.

Event Safety and Security: Planning for and Managing the Unexpected at Your Event

This session will examine and guide the event organizer on the best practices and contingencies encountered to provide for an expected level of safety and security at an event. Led by the state’s expert on event safety, this session will also cover Active Shooter Preparedness and crowd management training.
